Course Description

Our Special effects makeup (non-prosthetics) opens the door to a whole new world of makeup artistry that can be used in TV, film and creative disciplines. The subjects and learning include scars, injuries, age-transformation, bald caps and more. During this course, students are getting familiar with some of the best materials, application and production techniques in non-prosthetics special effects.

The student will experiment with the mediums of latex, waxes and gel to create texture, colour and contour. Techniques for the application of bald caps, beards, moustaches and sideburns are covered. The students are encouraged to refine their technical prowess as they produce realistic manifestations of trauma: scars, bruises, scabs, cuts, blisters and burns.

The course is aimed towards those who are looking to make a full time career out of Creative Makeup.

It is for the professionals who wish to update their present skills and enhance their creativity level. This covers takes you through the skills of fashion and photographic make-up, including editorial and advertising – plus catwalk (runway) makeup – while examining and practicing the latest trends in fashion make-up application. You will be working in a professional makeup studio and you’ll be taught by a professionally working makeup artist. The course is balanced between theory, demonstrations and hands-on practical tasks. Previous experience is necessary for this course.

Over the following weeks students will spend each day under the instruction of professionally working makeup artist & Instructors who will be handing over all the latest techniques and looks in various aspects of high fashion, photographic and media make-up.

What happens after the Special effects makeup makeup course?

Following on from Special Effects makeup course, students will complete a home study program using the course provided and complete a training Log Book of evidence. The Log Book includes a practical and written assignment, plus a number of makeup looks to complete on family and friends.

You will be asked to come back for one day after you have completed your portfolio work to take a practical exam and multiple choice theory paper. Only once you have completed the home study program can you come back to take practical examination.

At the completion of the program, you will receive an industry recognized qualification from IFAP (International Fashion Academy Pakistan).

  • The minimum age for entry to this course is 18 years
  • Makeup & Brushes are NOT included. You will require a Makeup kit and professional makeup brushes.

Qualification

Makeup Training Certificate

Day/ Evening /Bridal makeup

There are six components to the qualification:

  1. Attendance
  2. Log Book
  3. Theory
  4. Coursework
  5. Evaluation
  6. Final Examination
Each student will need to undergo different assessments and pass the final examinations in order to obtain this qualification.


Visa

Do you accept overseas students?

Yes, we take students from outside of Pakistan, An overseas student is someone who lives outside and requires a visa.

Do you offer student visas?

No, we do not offer student visas as our courses are less than six months long. You can undertake a course for up to 60 days in duration with us providing it is part of your visit using a visitor’s visa. You will have to apply independently for this visa from your own country.

Our Intensive Makeup Training includes hands-on, detailed makeup training, providing basic training in professional makeup skills and artistry. This course also provides training in professional makeup skills covering day, evening and special occasion look, leading to industry recognized qualifications. The course is balanced between theory, demonstrations and hands-on practical lessons.

Suitable for

This course is aimed towards beginners who wish to learn all the basic skills in professional makeup artistry, with no previous experience necessary for this course. It also has value for students who wish to refresh or update their present skills for retail. It covers day, evening and special occasion look plus all the techniques required achieving this end. You will be working in a professional makeup studio and taught by a professionally working make-up artist.

What happens after the Intensive Makeup training course?

Following on from the Intensive Makeup Training, students will complete a home study program using the course provided and complete a training Log Book of evidence. The Log Book includes a practical and written assignment, plus a number of makeup looks to complete on family and friends. You will be asked to come back for one day after you have completed your portfolio work to take a practical exam and multiple choice theory paper. Only once you have completed the home study program can you come back to take practical examination.

At the completion of the program, you will receive an industry recognized qualification from IFAP (International Fashion Academy Pakistan).
